The story of this fragrance begins around Lake Como. This body of water has always fascinated us because it is so much deeper than the sea we live in, yet it is surrounded by stunning mountains. In fact, the lake lies in a basin encircled by forested mountains, boasting a more diverse and fragrant landscape. Along its shores are meadows, forests, rugged and majestic rocks, picturesque villages overlooking the water, and beautiful villas with parks and gardens. The middle part of the lake, where its three branches meet, is the most temperate point but offers the widest scenery. We loved reaching the water's crossroads by boat and seeing the best views overlooking the Bellagio promontory, the northern Grigna overlooking Vallassena, and, on clear days, the upper basin with the Alps in the background. The most famous and beloved spot was always the Lecco branch, boasting a more rugged and breathtaking panoramic view. South Grigna, of Dolomitic origin, and the rocks of Corne di Canzo plunge into the lake, forming stunning coves and inlets. Our favorite retreat was the source of the Fiumlati, described by Leonardo da Vinci. It was already known as "Fiumlazio" in Leonardo da Vinci's manuscript, *Atlanticus*, where he was fascinated by this phenomenon. This stream, which captivated Leonardo da Vinci, enchanted us children with its unique characteristic: the intermittent flow of water from March 25th to October 7th. The water originates from a mysterious cavern filled with scents that would be impossible to describe—a place where the alchemy of perfumes was discovered before anyone else. The cavern rock itself was fragrant. After a period of intermittent flow, you can see its channel, which resembles a true moon.
